LUMÉ Kids Film Studio is becoming Publish Film Academy
Effective September 1, 2026, LUMÉ Kids Film Studio will officially transition to a new academic format under the name Publish Children's Film Academy.
As part of this transition, the Studio is introducing a new three-year academic program for children and teenagers ages 8–16, with two age groups: Junior (8–11) and Teen (12–16).
The program provides a minimum of four academic hours of instruction per week, with classes held twice a week, as well as practical training, filming, and participation in film and media productions when appropriate.
The curriculum includes acting and on-camera performance, stage movement, voice and speech, vocal performance, camera posing, fundamentals of film and television production, professional ethics, and professional conduct on set.
The academic program also includes masterclasses and professional workshops with working film actors, television hosts, and other film and media industry professionals. Students will receive Academy educational materials supporting the subjects and skills covered throughout the program.
For students who choose the certification track, the Academy provides practical assessments and examinations and maintains academic records documenting completed disciplines and instructional hours. Students who successfully complete the full three-year certification program and meet the established graduation requirements receive an Academy Graduation Diploma, accompanied by academic documentation listing the completed disciplines and documented hours of study..
Three-Year Academic Program

The Foundation Year develops the essential professional knowledge and practical skills required for further study and professional work.
Students study:
acting,
voice and speech,
vocal performance,
stage movement,
on-camera performance,
the fundamentals of film production,
the fundamentals of television, camera posing,
professional ethics, and professional conduct on a film set.
Throughout the academic year, students complete academic assessments and sit final examinations before progressing to the next level.

The Professional Training Year focuses on advanced training and professional specialization. Students continue developing their professional skills through instruction with Academy faculty while regularly participating in real productions created by Publish Art Productions Inc., including feature films, television series, television programs, music videos, photography projects, and other media productions.
Where permitted by applicable law and the requirements of individual productions, students may have opportunities to receive remuneration for participating in professional productions.

The third year is the Academy's graduation year. Students complete a graduation project, sit final examinations, and defend their final project before the Academy Examination Board. Students who successfully complete the three-year academic program receive the Academy Graduation Diploma.

The Academy's academic system includes a comprehensive academic curriculum, standardized examinations, unified academic requirements, annual academic assessment, the Academy Graduate Registry, and Academy Qualification Diplomas.

At the end of each academic year, every student receives an Academic Transcript listing all completed subjects, a Record of Practical Training Hours, and a Professional Portfolio containing photographs and video projects in which the student participated during the academic year.
Upon successful completion of the full three-year academic program, graduates receive the Academy Graduation Diploma.
The diploma certifies successful completion of the Academy's academic program and documents the graduate's completed coursework, achievements, practical training, and demonstrated professional competencies.

One of the Academy's defining features is the integration of education with real professional production. Throughout the program, students participate in real film, television, music, photography, and other media productions created by Publish Art Productions Inc.
This enables students to gain:
practical on-set experience,
develop a professional portfolio,
accumulate documented practical training hours,
prepare for professional careers in the film, television, and media industries.

The Academy's educational program is partially funded by sponsoring companies, allowing tuition to be offered at a significantly reduced rate.
As a result, tuition for the Academy's regular academic program is CAD $1,500 per academic year, plus applicable GST.
Students who successfully complete the competitive selection process and are accepted into “The Best” - Talent Development Program receive a full tuition scholarship covering 100% of the Academy's tuition for the period specified by the program.

Before enrolment, every applicant completes an entrance assessment to determine the most appropriate level of study.
Participation in professional productions is permitted only with written parental consent and in accordance with applicable legislation and the requirements of each individual production.
All scripts, music, songs, video clips, and other materials are original works, and all copyrights are owned by Publish Art Productions Inc.
