Yana Garpulia
Yana brings a thoughtful, student-centered approach to teaching, combining structure and discipline with creativity and individual attention. Through stage movement, acting, and on-camera performance, she helps students develop confidence, body awareness, freedom of expression, and a natural presence in front of the camera.
Her teaching is supported by practical experience working with children and teenagers through TKFW, where she provided training in runway technique, posture, movement, body positioning, turns, and confident presentation. She also taught photo and on-camera posing, helping young students work with facial expressions, movement, emotions, and different character images while becoming more comfortable and natural in front of the camera.
Professional Development
Yana continues to expand her knowledge of education, child development, and creative teaching, with particular attention to understanding the needs of students at different ages.
She has completed the Early Childhood Education Orientation Course offered by the Government of Alberta, covering foundational principles of early learning and child development.
She has also completed Supporting Children’s Mental Health and Wellbeing through The Open University, with a focus on children’s emotional wellbeing, supportive learning environments, and positive interaction with children.
Yana applies this knowledge in her teaching by combining practical performance training with encouragement, individual attention, and confidence building. Her goal is to help each student develop not only movement and on-camera skills, but also the confidence to express themselves freely, discover their individuality, and feel comfortable being seen.
